Hole in Roof From Lightning Strike
SERVPRO was called to assist a homeowner after lightning struck her home from a summer thunderstorm. Upon arrival at the home, we discovered that the roof of the home had been damaged from a bolt of lightning that struck the home during a recent thunderstorm. We began by removing limbs off the roof from a overhead tree and by securing the opening in the roof with felt paper to prevent further water damage into the home due to the hole caused by the lightning. An electrician had to be brought to the home to repair the damage to the electrical system from the lighting strike. SERVPRO was able to help limit the damage to the house by quickly covering up the hole with a temporary repair until the home owner could meet with her insurance adjuster.
